Q. How long will my Chief filter last?

A. As with any product, the better you maintain it, the longer it will last. The answer to this question also varies with the quality of water
that will be filtered over it's lifetime. Results will vary from location to location depending on the quality of the water in certain areas and
also the quantity of water that flows through the filter. On average we have seen residential filters last as long as 30+ years.

Q. Can a Chief water filter be installed above ground?

A. Although we do recommend that the water filter be installed below ground just after the city water meter, some applications either
do not allow that to be done or it is more adventagous to install the filter somewhere else. However, if the filter is installed above ground,
it must be protected from freezing.

Q. How often should I clean my Chief water filter?

A. The customer should take into consideration how bad the water is in their area and also how much water is being used per month.
These two factors will play a large role in how often the filter should be cleaned. However, we recommend as a general rule that the filter
be cleaned at least once a month The better the filter is maintained, the longer it will last.
